Love?

Pyaar nahi kiya toh kya kiya?

Isn’t this casually thrown at us, exactly if you haven’t fallen in love what have you actually done, watched the beautiful sun rise and set together, go on walks, drive to pretty places, cute little dinner dates all around isn’t it?

Most often it’s this we fall in love with, someone being with us, giving us this attention 24*7, act according to our conveniences, basically be a ragdoll and the moment they turn out to be totally opposite to that, boom-this illusion of Love- it breaks, steep fall into reality it is.

We expect way more than we can put in, this romanticization we keep fixating, on we go the extremes to get it right, but life isn’t really like that. Its in front of us and we cant see it, we are so blinded by this illusion we barely see how low we actually have fallen.We are immersed in head to toe in love, consumed by it but still don't use one bit to serve it to us, funny.

We wait till we lose ourselves in this mess and then we realize we were being guided by nothing but an illusion and now that we’re lost one doesn’t even have themselves to guide them back home.

Love which makes you stray from yourself it isn’t love, you can’t really find light outside while it’s still dark within, and expect the one you’re with to fix it for you while all they know is how to wreck it, stop embarrassing yourself and hurting yourself, ask yourself if that is what you really need to live with.

No matter how lost we feel, we need to have ourselves to guide us back home.
